Coastal drilling contractors are available to provide everything from site preparation, drilling of caissons, piers, and piles complete with placement of reinforcing steel and concrete. We have the capability of drilling with up to a five foot diameter bit to approximately 50 feet in depth.  With a large array of drilling tools and casings we are able to meet the vast majority of job specifications for the region.

Typically caisson and pile foundations are used to support structures built on ground that is subject movement such as hillside or bluff properties.  Piles are drilled through unstable soil to penetrate into more supportive substrata.  After the holes are drilled a steel reinforcing cage is lowered in and the bore hole is filled with high strength concrete.  Most drilled pier foundations utilize a grade beam foundation to connect the grid of concrete piers.  Then the structure is designed to bear directly on these concrete grade beams. 

Piles can also be utilized to stabalize and retain earth on hillside properties.  In addition to being a California Licensed Class-A General Engineering Contractor we are also a California Licensed Grading Contractor and offer full site preparation, rough, and final grading.  We provide hillside roadway grading, retaining wall construction, and erosion control implimentation.
